Military Requirements

Regardless of the type of VA education benefits you are using, we need all VA students to complete and submit our VA Student’s Bill of Rights and Considerations prior to enrollment.

Official Transcripts

You must submit all official transcripts prior to enrollment.

  • The Army uses the AARTS system (New JST Joint Services Transcripts), which automatically captures your academic credits from military training and standardized tests.

  • The Navy and Marine Corps use the SMART system (New JST Joint Services Transcripts). This system automatically captures your training, experience, and standardized test scores.

  • The Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) automatically captures your training, experience, and standardized test scores.

  • The Coast Guard Institute (CGI) requires each service member to submit documentation of all training (except correspondence course records), along with an enrollment form, to receive a transcript.

  • You will need to provide your discharge documents to receive credit for your experience.
