NASA Collaboration:

The Academy has partnered with NASA to take on the toughest challenges in space travel. Each year, the space program sponsors a class where students tackle real problems faced by astronauts in space travel. One recent focus: designing habitation and travel solutions for Mars.

Audi x Design Innovation: Redefining Rugged Luxury

With Audi, students from Interior Architecture, Fashion, Interaction, Graphic, and Industrial Design reimagined rugged luxury for a new era. Their challenge: envision the future of premium adventure. The result: immersive experience centers, cutting-edge homes, and visionary vehicles—concepts that reshape how Audi clients will live, move, and explore.

Chrysler x Design Innovation: Shaping the Future of Mobility

Interior Architecture, Fashion, Interaction, Graphic, and Industrial Design students joined forces with Chrysler to reimagine what mobility can be. Their mission: design a seamless, next-generation transportation ecosystem. The outcome: immersive experience centers, advanced personal vehicles, futuristic VTOL concepts, and interaction designs that unify it all.

Pushing Boundaries: A Collaboration with Samsung Galaxy and Industrial Design

Partnering with Samsung’s Galaxy brand, Industrial Design students were asked to imagine the brand beyond the smartphone. They responded with groundbreaking concepts—new product ecosystems that stretch the Galaxy experience into uncharted territory and redefine how technology lives in the world.

Jeep x Design Innovation: A Global Future

In collaboration with Jeep, students from across design disciplines redefined the brand for a global stage. From wearables and e-bikes to jet packs, extreme off-road vehicles, and luxury SUVs, they pushed the Jeep spirit of adventure to new heights. Seamless UI/UX visions tied it all together—charting Jeep’s path toward 2040.

Cadillac x Design Innovation: Shaping the Future of Luxury Mobility

Working with GM Design, students were challenged to create a holistic vision of Cadillac in 2040. Bringing together architecture, fashion, interaction, and industrial design, they imagined a bold, optimistic future for luxury mobility—one that reinvents what Cadillac means for the next generation.

Hydration Reimagined

Students from the Industrial Design and Interaction Design departments collaborated to design the next generation of hydration vessels for the iconic brand CamelBak. The results were innovative designs that not only helped users stay hydrated, but also allowed them to enjoy their beverages at their preferred temperatures. By seamlessly blending hardware and software, these solutions delivered a truly holistic hydration experience.
