Schools of Entertainment

Welcome to the Schools of Entertainment — Where Craft Meets Career

At the Academy’s Schools of Entertainment, you don’t just learn storytelling—you practice it.

Home to the School of Writing for Film, Television & Digital Media, the School of Motion Pictures & Television, and the School of Acting, this is a space built for collaboration, versatility, and real-world experience.

You won’t find traditional classrooms here. You’ll find a working studio:

  • Eight professional sound stages
  • A black box theatre
  • Wardrobe and prop departments
  • Scene construction shops
  • A fully equipped camera room

Everything is shared. Everything is hands-on. Everything is yours to use.

Writers, directors, and actors train side by side—learning how each role works and how they fit together. Writers and actors get behind the camera. Filmmakers step in front of it. The more you know, the more you can do.

    Acting

Professional training. Industry connections. Real opportunities. A day in the life of an actor at the Academy is not theory; it’s learning by doing.

Writing for Film, Television & Digital Media

In the School of Writing, you’ll learn the structure, character, and dialogue fundamentals necessary to become a professional writer for film and television.

    AI for Filmmakers

This course introduces you to the core AI tools reshaping modern film production. You’ll learn to generate and edit images, visualize locations, design production elements, and compose original sound and foley. You’ll also practice enhancing audio by removing noise and improving clarity, and refine video through upscaling, sharpening, and grain reduction. The course emphasizes practical skills in AI prompting and workflow design. By the end, you’ll create a complete pitch deck and sizzle reel that present your film concept with clarity and professional polish.

    NXTUP Film Festival

NXTUP is our year-end film festival and awards show—spotlighting the best student work across every discipline. It’s judged by working film and TV professionals, giving you real industry exposure and the chance to be seen by the people who could hire you next.

    Production Hub

Production Hub is a collaborative production class where filmmakers of every discipline team up—with each other and with real-world clients—to create high-end content. From documentaries and PSAs to commercials, branded content, and educational media, you’ll work together to deliver polished, professional results that air on television, stream around the world, and win awards.
