Motion Pictures & Television Collaboratives & Internships

Collaboration is the heartbeat of the motion picture industry—and it drives everything you’ll do in the School of Motion Pictures and Television. On soundstages and in classrooms, you’ll work side by side with directors, producers, writers, actors, production designers, cinematographers, and editors to bring stories to life. You might partner with students from the School of Music Production & Sound Design for Visual Media to craft scores and soundscapes, or with the School of Animation and Visual Effects to build worlds and characters that leap from imagination to screen.

Beyond campus, you could earn credit working as an intern in editing houses, with the San Francisco Opera’s production design department, at camera rental houses, or on professional film and television projects.

Through our Production Hub classes, you’ll also collaborate with San Francisco’s Fire, Police, and Sheriff’s departments, forest rangers, and a range of private clients to create PSAs and commercials seen around the globe.
